Although my main focus in Healing Stories and Sacred Songs is sharing writing by others, as the year draws to an end, I would like to look back with gratitude at the opportunities I’ve had to share my own words with the world. Thank you for helping me celebrate!
Of course, I am especially thankful this year for the publication of my book, When Fragments Make a Whole. You can read an essay about my path to publication, “An Unexpected Journey,” that recently appeared in Authors Publish magazine.
Here’s what else you can read online right now:
“Losing My Language, Finding My Voice” - essay in Author Magazine
“Circle of Hope” - essay in Clayjar Review
"Peace in Stillness" - essay in the Upper Room Daily Devotional
“Mystery Madonna” - essay in Braided Way
“Weaving Lessons” - essay in BioStories
“To the Mountains” - essay in Pensive
Book Reviews in Vita Poetica: Review of Nervous / Review of Life After Doom / Review of The Release
“We Cover Up the Roots” - poem in Poetry Breakfast

Three poems in Soul Forte
A few more pieces available only in print:

Untitled Poem (“It’s like”) in The Windhover literary journal
It’s been a year of growth and challenge for me. The future is uncertain, yet I want to hold on to hope, to keep seeking the beauty that strengthens and nourishes our hearts even in the midst of heartbreak and pain. May this strength grow in you as well, building the sacred space of healing for a world in need.
Your thoughts are always welcome. Would you like to send feedback on any of these pieces? Have you come across another author or publication you think I ought to know about? Please let me know!
Congratulations!!!
Oh, wow!
It is the last night of 2024. I read several of your pieces today, multiple times. They are helping me to quiet my chatter and seek help from the One who is always present. I was really worried my negativity would rule this evening until you reminded me that I could always pray for help. So grateful to you, Lori, for your glowing and sharing of all the light you are receiving. Enjoy your rest.
